It started with a buzzer (of course)
Buzzly started the way a lot of good ideas do: with a problem that wouldn't go away. Our founder, Ben, spent years living in Toronto apartments, and the buzzer was always the weak link. Deliveries were missed, only one phone could be attached to the buzzer no matter how many people were home, and hosting meant ducking out of the conversation every time someone buzzed.
The real tipping point had a wagging tail. Ben's dog, Dexter, was home alone on workdays, and getting him a midday break was harder than it should have been: the building had no spare fobs, and someone couldn't always be by the phone when the buzzer rang. What Dexter needed was his own key, so Ben, who builds software for a living, built him one: the Virtual Fob, buzzer access you can hand out without handing out keys. Dexter got his bathroom breaks, and soon friends wanted one too: for the dog walker, the cleaner, the in-laws visiting next week. A little fix for one dog was starting to look a lot like something bigger.

That something bigger became Buzzly. Today we help renters, owners, families, and home-sharing hosts across Canada and the US get more out of the buzzer their building already has. No new hardware, no hammers, drills, or mistakes. Just a smarter buzzer.
